What are the causes of suffering?
First, one understands that he causes much of his own suffering.
Secondly, he looks for the reasons of this in his own life,
To look is to have confidence in ones own ability to end the suffering.
Finally, a wish arises to find the path to peace.
For all beings desire happiness, all wish to find their purer selves.
=From the film "Kundun"-
Very true words.
ReplyDeleteI just give in and go with the flow, but I will fight anyone's corner that I feel is being hard done by.
I've learned not to take things at face value.....but it has taken me some time to realise that.
People come and go, but in the end, you are still you, and I have to harden myself against some people.
Sorry I've not been around much lately, but I've not been too well, but it gave me time to get my head sorted out!
Talk to you soon.
Big hugs!
I agree with Alice.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
Then again, we have to suffer at some point to be able to appreciate happiness.
I gave you an award.
Have a lovely week, sweetie.
LOVE!

ReplyDeleteMy latest post on 'Eccentricities and Oddities' talks about suffering and death. Your post complements mine. You have so truly mentioned about all beings desiring happiness but then what causes suicides.
Glad to have stopped by. Came over from Alice in Wonderland.
Joy always,
Susan
