Stronger

I cannot take this anymore,
Like a thousand times before.


Leave the pieces on the ground,
This time I won't be brought down.

There's something I want to, need to, say...
But the words won't travel up
From my heart, they just stay down there.
Too scared of showing up in front of you,
Only to be abandoned in the cold lonely air.


Don't you get tired of this?
Back and forth we struggle to find the balance,
Like kids on a sea-saw,
Too stubborn to lose.
It's time to let go.


Against all reason and sensibility this has happened!
I shake my head in the absurdity of it all.
How is this possible?

There's nothing more I can say to that.


One wrong turn
And her wiry fingers have clawed around my heart.
This is my due, but when will it end?
When will it be that my heart will be mine again,

I was given my first award by Alice In Wonderland, a beautiful soul, and I have been asked to share 7 things you may not know about me!


I have a book of poems (for lack of a better word)  that no one has ever read.


When I was younger I genuinely thought if I believed enough, I could fly! (I sometimes still do!)


A way I can tell if I like someone is by looking in their eyes! You can always tell if a person has given up on the wonders and hope of life through their eyes; just in the way you can tell they still have curiosity and trust in the world they live in.


I think I have a gift, but I don't know how to harness it. 


Jewel's "A night without Armor" is the first book of poems I had ever read. I wanted to be like her so much, she has helped me to be the person I am today now that I think of it, such a strong soul.


I can't stand when people chew with their mouth open! I get so angry! 


I prefer to listen more than talk.

Focus on your smile

It's occurred to me lately that people need to focus on what makes them smile, not frown.


I just posted on my facebook "What's one thing that made you smile today?" And it attracted such a range of responses, some funny, cute, kind and beautiful responses!


When you think about it, everyday there will be at least one thing that will make you smile!
Be it a text message from someone you like, something on tv, a song, a childs laughter, or a spontaneous memory!


Sure there will be things that make you frown or upset possibly, but really, being negative is such an energy drainer! And being negative becomes a bad habit.


So each day, just think back on something that made you smile! Write it down, share it or blog about it!

Keep smiling beautiful souls!! :)

Wind

There's something calming about the wind,
Feeling life caress your skin so softly,
knowing too well its strength and power.


It can sweep away your thoughts,
Leaving you with loud silence,
That beautiful loud silence,
As you close your eyes
And let life sweep you away.

In my water eyes

I See Blue!

Ever noticed that there is a colour you are always drawn to?

For me it is blue...

Perhaps this is because it represents my water zodiac,

Perhaps it is because it doesn't represent a 'typical girl' colour,

Perhaps it's because it is such a calming colour,

Perhaps it reminds me of my Grandma's blue & white dinner sets,

Perhaps it's because it means clear skies,
